Use all CAPS. Center the address on the envelope and use a flush left margin. Put room, suite, and apartment numbers on the same line as the street address.<\/p>\n<h2>How to Address an Envelope or Package<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Example:<\/strong><br \/>\nJESSIE SANTANA<br \/>\n4325 W PALM BEACH RD RM 419<br \/>\nSAN FRANCISCO CA 94116<\/p>\n<p>If you know the four-digit extension of the zip code, the post office will be even happier with you.<\/p>\n<p>Also, note that you should use <em>RD<\/em> for <em>Road<\/em> and <em>W<\/em> for <em>West<\/em>. Other abbreviations: <em>STE<\/em> for <em>Suite<\/em> and <em>APT<\/em> for <em>Apartment<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The above is just one common example.
